Closing in on regime change

For those of use here in the good ol' US of A, it's almost election time. If things go as they appear to be going, there's going to be a major shift in both houses of the legislature. And it's damned well time, too! With a Republican president, a Republican majority in both houses and a largely Republican Supreme Court, there has been no balance of power for years. So it's no wonder this country is in such a helluva mess.

The only question that I have if such a change should come is whether or not Congress will have the courage to do what needs to be done: impeachment of George W. Bush for high crimes and misdemeanors. If getting a hummer in the Oval Office is an impeachable offense, what does this say about lying to get us into a war that has now killed more Americans and our allies than the attacks of September 11?

Before you start attacking me as a cookie-cutter liberal, I am not. I'm registered as unaffiliated because I don't vote for political parties. I vote for the person most capable of doing the job... or at least for the person least likely to do harm to the country.

If George Bush worked for me, I'd have fired him. Come to think of it, he does work for me. So I'm going to vote for someone most likely to fire Bush.
